Catalogue source

ShowCar's make, model and variant reference catalogue is derived from the vehicle-makes-models open dataset, retrieved 16 September 2026. The catalogue data is provided under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0.

User-provided vehicle information

The open catalogue is only a reference list. A user's profile name, selected vehicle, variant/year, images, build details, social links, sponsors, events and other profile content are separate user-provided ShowCar data and are not sourced from the catalogue.

Missing vehicles

The catalogue cannot guarantee every regional, historic, coach-built or special-edition vehicle. Users can use the available "Other / not listed" route or submit a missing-vehicle request. Such a request can contain the vehicle make/model/variant/year and notes and is made available to ShowCar administration for review.

Accuracy

ShowCar does not guarantee that third-party catalogue information is complete or error-free. Users remain responsible for checking the information they choose to publish about their own vehicle.
